24 Hours on the joystick for Audi personnel!

While many teams and drivers are taking some well-earned rest away from racing in the closed season, others never stop.

Five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner with Audi Sport Team Joest, Frank Biela, may no longer be competing at La Sarthe but he’s still taking part in endurance events and will this coming weekend be doing 24 hours on the joystick!

Teamed with Markus Winkelhock (nephew of another former Le Mans winner, Joachim) and none other than Ralf Jüttner, the Technical Director of Audi Sport Team Joest, the three will be competing in the Hamburg 24 Hours, a 24-hour race for slot cars.  A total of six teams with four drivers each - two with an Audi R8 - will be running at TuTech Innovation GmbH in the Channel Hamburg district. Frank Biela has won this rather crazy race as many as three times in the past...perhaps he’s hoping to surpass his record in the famous French classic.
