Representatives from Porsche (Mr Hermilo Nájera), Toyota (Mr Jorge Murakami) and AT & T (Cecilia Marquez) joined Promoter Ricardo Gonzalez, Jorge Abed from OMDAI (Mexico’s governing body for motorsport), driver Roberto Gonzalez, and a spokesperson from the Department of Tourism for Mexico City to reveal plans for the race.

Among the cars and star-studded roster of drivers who will be lighting up the Mexican track will be the winners of the 2016 race, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley of Porsche who, in 2017, will race with new team mate, 2015 Le Mans winner Earl Bamber.

Competing on home ground will be Roberto Gonzalez, part of the CEFC Manor TRS Racing squad in LMP2 and the Mexican will be hoping to follow in his brother Ricardo’s footsteps with a class victory.
