Tickets for North America’s biggest festival of international sport car racing – Lone Star Le Mans – have gone on sale this weekend at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.  The 6 Hours of COTA, the fifth round of the World Endurance Championship, forms the headline event of the weekend which will take place in the Lone Star State from September 17-19.

The Lone Star Le Mans weekend will bring together endurance racing’s only World Championship and North America’s TUDOR United Sportscar Championship, plus their support series, for a superb festival of action on and off track.   The WEC’s field of manufacturer entries from Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari, Nissan, Porsche and Toyota features an elite line up of the best sports car drivers in the world who will race into the night, finishing at 11:00 pm.

At the Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida, WEC CEO Gérard Neveu and IMSA President and CEO Scott Atherton came together to consolidate plans for the joint weekend of spectacular racing, Stetsons and sunshine in September.  Neveu commented:  “The United States of America has some very loyal and devoted sports car fans, and we fully support the decision to open the ticket sales office earlier than in previous years.  This allows fans new and old the chance make their plans for this exciting festival of racing ahead of time – better for the whole family and better for the pocket!”

As well as entertainment, excitement, action and tension on track, a WEC event offers something for all the family.  Fans will enjoy incredible access during the event, as both the WEC and TUDOR Championship teams allow fans to get up-close-and-personal to the cars and drivers throughout the race weekend.

Spectators will also have access to pit walks, car displays, interactive racing games and driver autograph sessions. The weekend’s racing will be complemented by a full festival environment with Austin’s famous food trucks, entertainment for the whole family, live music and a fireworks display during Saturday night’s WEC 6-hour race.

A variety of Early Bird and multiple-day entry ticket offers are available now until 31May, with those aged 15 and under receiving free general admission with a ticketed adult.  To purchase Lone Star Le Mans ticket packages please visit www.circuitoftheamericas.com, www.ticketmaster.comor call (512) 655-6300 to reach the circuit sales team.
