Car controller

He is in charge of overseeing the pit stop, safety, stopping and releasing the car safely. This person must carry a board with the relevant car number and cannot be positioned in line with the longitudinal axis of the car. His presence is mandatory throughout the pit stop in the working area, before the car arrives and stops in front of its garage and until the car leaves the area.

 

Fire extinguisher attendant

His presence is mandatory throughout a pit stop. He is allowed in the working area only after the car has stopped in front of its garage.

 

Cut off valve attendant

His presence is mandatory during refuelling operations when refuelling and vent hoses are connected to the car.

 

Cockpit attendant

He is charge of any operation inside the cockpit including helping the driver (tools prohibited). His presence is allowed in the working area only after the car has stopped in front of its garage.

 

4 mechanics

They must wear mandatory green armbands supplied by the organizer. Their presence is allowed in the working area only after the car has stopped in front of its garage.

 

2 technicians

They are in charge of monitoring tyres and brakes (1 technician for the tyres and 1 for the brakes) and must wear mandatory blue armbands supplied by the organizer. They are allowed in the working area only after the car has stopped in front of his garage and any time during a pit stop. A team with only one technician may have that single technician carrying out both controls.

Penalty for an infringement during the free practice and qualifying session: at the Stewards’ discretion.
