Hypercar
- Alex Lynn consolidated the lead of the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo in the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R Hypercar, spearheading a Cadillac 1-2 in the mid-phase of the race
- The pole-sitter’s pace contributed significantly to clawing back earlier lost time when team-mate Will Stevens had to serve a drive-through penalty for a tyre pressure infringement in the opening hour
- The #38 Cadillac V-Series.R placed second in the hands of Jenson Button, who initially started to catch Lynn before the gap stabilised. The pair of gold Cadillacs held one-two after four hours ahead of the #5 Porsche Penske Motorsport entry piloted by Michael Christensen, with a 30-second buffer over the Porsche
- The second of the factory Porsche 963s runs fourth to complete a neat formation at the front of the field, but the Kévin Estre-driven #6 entry was placed under investigation mid-race for a pit-stop procedure infringement. A five-second penalty was handed out, but that did not cost the Frenchman a position
- It did, however, allow Team Peugeot TotalEnergies a chance to close on the Porsche with the #94 9X8, driven by Malthe Jakobsen, running a strong fifth
- The second of the distinctive Peugeot 9X8 Hypercars with Paul di Resta aboard sits sixth, ahead of the #20 BMW that had FIA WEC returnee Marco Wittmann aboard for the mid-portion of the race
- Completing the top ten after four hours of action are the #99 Proton Competition Porsche, the championship-leading #51 Ferrari and the #36 Alpine
LMGT3
- Akkodis ASP Team holds the initiative in the LMGT3 class with a one-two led by the #87 Lexus of Clemens Schmid, followed by the sister car driven by Yuichi Nakayama
- Earlier, José María López had extended the advantage for the #87 Lexus, but a lot of that hard work was undone when the former world champion was found guilty of pit-lane speeding. The resulting drive-through penalty and strategy adaptation still saw the #87 lead as four hours were completed
- The pair of Lexuses were close together at the front of the 18-car LMGT3 field, heading the #85 Iron Dames Porsche in third. Earlier, Célia Martin had completed her best-ever stints in FIA WEC after overtaking the #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes of Martin Berry, which slipped back down the order
- A Full Course Yellow was briefly deployed during the fourth hour, when the #33 TF Sport Corvette of Ben Keating made contact with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P, piloted by Nicklas Nielsen
- The clash removed part of the Ferrari’s diffuser, while Keating was handed a ten-second penalty for the incident, which occurred exiting Turn Three
- Behind the two Lexuses and the Iron Dames Porsche is the #10 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin, as Eduardo Barrichello wowed his home crowd with several overtaking manoeuvres on his march up to fourth place
- The top six is completed by the #81 TF Sport Corvette and the #46 Team WRT BMW, with Valentino Rossi now inside the cockpit of the car he shares with Ahmed Al Harthy and Kelvin van der Linde
- A damper issue accounted for the #88 Proton Competition Ford Mustang in the third hour, making it the only retirement to-date in the 36-car field
