For the fifth round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Challenge, we head to a circuit which will be new to the majority of the entry list including the LMP1 hybrid-powered Audi Sport and Toyota Racing entries.
The impressive, new Circuit of The Americas facility in Austin, Texas boasts a 3.4 mile (5.5km) layout was designed by Tilke GmbH & Co.
There will be four specified ‘braking zones’ – the areas in which the energy recuperation hybrid technology can be employed – for the 6 Hours of The Circuit of The Americas, in Turns 1, 11, 12 and 20. The entry of each zone will be considered as at the 50m board before the curve.
