Glorious April sunshine and crystal clear blue skies welcomed the fans and competitors to Silverstone this morning for the first race day of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
The extreme elements of Saturday that helped to deliver such a thrilling and unpredictable qualifying session were long gone as still, sunny conditions are set to provide the perfect backdrop to an action-packed and fan friendly feast of endurance action today.
The 33 cars were glinting in the sun as the FIA WEC paddock gets ready to welcome the race fans to get close to them and their drivers ahead of the 6 Hours of Silverstone, which is scheduled to begin at 12.00 local time.
