Breaking News: Porsche win 2015 Lone Star Le Mans

Porsche celebrated a third successive WEC win this evening at the Lone Star Le Mans as the No.17 Porsche 919 Hybrid took the chequered flag ahead of the No.7 Audi Sport Team Joest car.

There was heartbreak for the No.18 Porsche 919 Hybrid which appeared to be on course for a comfortable victory, but a late race technical problem dropped it back down the field.

In LMP2, the No.26 G-Drive Ligier-Nissan of Sam Bird, Julien Canal and Roman Rusinov led home the KCMG ORECA 05-Nissan to take its second class win of the season.

The ByKolles CLM P1/01 won a second LMP1 privateer category after both Rebellion Racing cars hit problems.

In LMGTE Pro Porsche Team Manthey took a second consecutive 1-2, while in LMGTE Am the SMP Racing Ferrari team registered a third straight category win.
