Alex Lynn – who will make his seasonal debut in Barcelona this weekend after missing the opening six rounds of 2026 due to neck surgery – and Sébastien Bourdais are set to depart the programme at the conclusion of the current campaign. In their place will come António Félix da Costa and Ricky Taylor, to complement continuing quartet Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Norman Nato and Will Stevens.

“We’re incredibly excited about our driver line-up for 2027,” enthused Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Director and Co-Founder, Sam Hignett. “In António and Ricky, we are welcoming two enormously talented drivers who already know the team well and understand what we are about.

“Both bring a huge amount of experience, but just as importantly, they are great team players and will fit seamlessly into the group we already have. Alongside Jack, Earl, Norman and Will, we believe we have a formidable line-up for 2027, with the experience, speed and team spirit to achieve great things together.”

“We’re delighted to welcome António and Ricky to Cadillac for 2027,” echoed the marque’s Global Motorsports Competition Vice-President, Eric Warren. “Both drivers bring experience, race-winning pedigree and technical expertise to the team. In a series where teamwork and chemistry are vital, Ricky and António already have a long-standing relationship with everyone at Cadillac. Together with Jack, Earl, Norman and Will, this provides a strong foundation.”

Da Costa previously raced for JOTA from 2019 to 2023 – one of the most successful periods in the British outfit’s history – initially at LMP2 level, winning the FIA WEC title and 24 Hours of Le Mans in-class in 2022, before stepping up to the series’ headlining Hypercar category.

The Portuguese star is one of the long-distance discipline’s most accomplished protagonists and returned to the fray this season with Alpine, reaching the rostrum in his most recent appearance at COTA.

“It feels really special to be coming back to JOTA,” commented da Costa, who also clinched the FIA Formula E World Championship crown in 2019/20. “I have some amazing memories with this team, we achieved a lot together and I still have so many friends here, so in many ways it feels like coming home.

“At the same time, this is a completely new challenge and one about which I’m incredibly excited. The team has shown what it is capable of at the very highest level, and I’m coming back with one goal – to help Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA to fight for wins and championships.”

Fellow new recruit Taylor is also a familiar face, having raced for the team in Austin last month. Two times an IMSA title-winner, the 37-year-old has built an impressive résumé at the pinnacle of North American sportscar racing, with 32 victories and 76 podium finishes to his name.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be joining Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for the 2027 season,” he said. “Racing full-time in an FIA World Championship is something I’ve never had the opportunity to do before, so I’m excited for the prospect and to be joining a team that has spent so many years achieving podiums and wins on the world stage. I know many of the team and drivers from my time in IMSA, so I already feel right at home. I can’t wait to get started!"

The pair will take over from Lynn and Bourdais. The British ace has competed in Cadillac machinery since 2023, delivering a number of standout performances including pole position at Le Mans last year. Alongside Stevens and Nato, Lynn achieved the brand’s breakthrough FIA WEC victory at Interlagos in 2025.

“I’ve had an amazing time with JOTA over the past two years and with Cadillac Racing over the last five years, with so many beautiful memories that I will cherish forever,” the 33-year-old reflected. “I’ve had the honour of driving the car to four FIA WEC pole positions – including the most special one at Le Mans – and being one of the crew that took the first overall podium at Le Mans and first overall FIA WEC win [in Brazil].

“Thank you to every person involved from both GM and the teams I was fortunate enough to drive for – I hope I did you proud. I always gave everything I had, and will continue to do so for the last two races.”

Bourdais has similarly been an integral part of Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA since its inception, bringing a wealth of experience, technical expertise and leadership to the line-up. One of endurance racing's most respected competitors, the Frenchman has achieved multiple podium finishes during his two seasons with the squad.

“I’m very proud of what we have achieved together,” Bourdais acknowledged. “Joining JOTA with Cadillac was a new challenge for all of us, and it has been very rewarding to see how the programme has progressed and to have contributed to some strong results along the way.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at JOTA and Cadillac, and I have a lot of respect for the people involved. We still have two races to go this season, so my focus now is on doing the best job we can together and finishing on a high.”

“Sébastien and Alex have made important contributions to Cadillac Racing and to the growth of this programme over their many years with the team,” added Warren. “While this particular chapter may be coming to a close, their commitment will always be valued, and they will remain respected and important members of the Cadillac family.”
