In its third year in the series, Cadillac has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in FIA WEC in 2025, claiming no fewer than three pole positions with its V-Series.R prototype and a landmark one-two finish in the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo just before the summer break.

Heading into next month’s season finale in Bahrain, the American marque sits third in the Manufacturers’ classification, 22 points behind second-placed Porsche with 65 left to be disputed in the desert.

Cadillac’s recruitment of Moore as chief engineer is indicative of its longer-term ambitions. The Australian’s long and illustrious résumé includes nearly two decades spent with Triple Eight Race Engineering in the Supercars Championship, in roles ranging from race engineer to chief designer and, most recently, six years as technical director.

Significantly, the Brisbane native also arrives with five years of technical and leadership experience from Porsche’s RSR and LMP1 projects, during which he acted as race engineer for the 2016 FIA WEC LMP1 championship and Le Mans-winning outfit.

“As a member of Cadillac Racing, I’ll apply my experience across vastly different programmes to guide and complement the already strong team to help achieve our ultimate goals of success at Le Mans and across both FIA WEC and IMSA,” commented Moore.

“Jeromy brings extensive motorsport experience to the Cadillac Racing team, and we look forward to benefitting from his technical leadership,” added Mark Stielow, General Motors’ Director of Motorsports Competition Programmes. “This move reflects the level of resources and investment that GM is making in its global motorsport initiatives.”
