Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has recruited reigning F1 Academy champion Doriane Pin as an official Development Driver for its FIA World Endurance Championship effort.
Widely recognised as one of motorsport’s most exciting young talents, Pin has established an impressive reputation on her way up the ladder, while demonstrating her versatility across different disciplines.
After triumphing in-class in the 24 Hours of Spa with the Iron Dames and clinching the 2022 Ferrari Challenge Europe crown, the Frenchwoman prevailed in the Formula 1-supporting F1 Academy last year, as two seasons in the fiercely-contested single-seater series yielded seven victories, nine further podium finishes and five pole positions.
Pin is also no stranger to FIA WEC, having made ten appearances to-date in the championship including a full campaign with Prema Racing in the LMP2 category in 2023, during which she reached the rostrum at Sebring.
Still aged just 22, the rising star will bring the benefit of her experience, adaptability, fresh energy and insights to the ongoing evolution of Peugeot’s podium-finishing Hypercar – which remains in search of its first win – while simultaneously taking advantage of her new association with a top‑tier endurance racing manufacturer.

“Joining Team Peugeot TotalEnergies is a great source of pride for me,” enthused Pin, who takes over the role from countryman Théo Pourchaire, now a fully-fledged member of the Satory-based squad’s race line-up. “Being able to play a part in the development of the 9X8 represents a real opportunity.
“My aim is to learn as much as possible, fully integrate into the team and utilise my commitment and perspective to contribute to the success of the project. It’s a big step toward my goals, and I’m determined to make the most of it with the ambition of becoming an official driver.”
The Ivry-sur-Seine native will take part in multiple simulator sessions and liaise closely with the team’s engineering department, as she endeavours to enhance her understanding of Peugeot’s prototype in preparation for her maiden outing in the car during November’s traditional end-of-season Rookie Test.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Doriane to the Peugeot Sport family,” commented Team Principal, Emmanuel Esnault. “Her track record and dynamic approach make her a fantastic addition to our development programme. We’re looking forward to the new perspectives she will bring as we continue refining the 9X8, and are eager to see her get behind the wheel in Bahrain.”
