One of the beauties of the FIA World Endurance Championship is the driver/fan interaction throughout the weekend with many opportunities for the public to meet and greet their heroes.

During the autograph session this morning many of the drivers were quizzed about their chances in the fourth round of the championship which takes place later this evening at 17.00 local time.

Local entrant and driver Tracy Krohn, driving the #57 Krohn Racing Ferrari 458 Italia was delighted to spend time with fans and sign many posters and autograph cards.

“It is always nice to be racing in front of your own fans,” said the Texan. “It gives you an extra lift knowing they are rooting for you in the race. I hope we can give them a good show later today.”

Fernando Rees was signing poster after poster outside the #99 Aston Martin Racing pit. The Brazilian was impressed by the knowledge and passion of the US race fans, saying: “They know a great deal about the drivers and the cars, I was quite amazed by just how much. It was great to chat to them, young and old. It was lovely to see families here as well and see that they are spending the whole weekend at the track.”
