Ferrari’s new 488 GTE Evo testing for the Super Season

The AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTEs due to compete in the Prologue have completed a shakedown test on the manufacturer’s Fiorano track ahead of the start of the FIA WEC Super Season.

GT World champions James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi in No.51, and Sam Bird and Davide Rigon in No.71, will be the full-season drivers for every round of the WEC. The third drivers who will join AF Corse and Ferrari for the Super Season’s first of two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans are not yet confirmed.

Now in its third year in the WEC, the Ferrari 488 GTE has so far won two world championship titles and eleven races. The 2018 version of the 488 GTE will appear in a new shade of metallic red.

The cars will take part in the Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard on 6-7th April, the official pre-season test for all the WEC competitors before the opening round of the season, the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 5th May.
