First view of the Rebellion R13 LMP1

The Geneva Motor Show was today the venue for the reveal by video screen of the new Rebellion R13 LMP1 prototype which will contest the WEC Super Season.

The race car is currently being built and therefore not available to travel to Switzerland, but many of Rebellion’s LMP1 and ELMS drivers were present and on stage to celebrate the team’s return to the top category and participation in the WEC’s sister championship.  With them were Calim Bouhadra from Rebellion, Hugues de Chaunac from ORECA and WEC CEO Gérard Neveu.

The Swiss team is likely to be a hot points-scoring challenger in LMP1 with its two entries in the hands of a formidable driver line up mixing youth, experience and plenty of WEC know-how.

No.1 will be driven by André Lotterer, Neel Jani and Bruno Senna, while No.3 will feature Thomas Laurent, Gustavo Menezes and Mathias Beche.
