FP3: Toyota 1-2; Porsche top in LMGTE Pro

The final Free Practice session for the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps saw Toyota top a session for the first time so far this week.

After the last practice session before qualifying later today, below are the main headlines: 
  
Hypercar 
•    No.7 Toyota Gazoo Racing entered GR010-Hybrid driven by Jose-Maria Lopez, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi sets fastest time so far at the challenging Belgian venue 
•    Kobayashi peaks on a 2m02.518s lap to head sister No.8 car by 0.350s 
•    Kazuki Nakajima had followed his Japanese counterpart by setting his time in the first few minutes of the session 
•    Alpine Elf Matmut third in Hypercar class as they concentrate on long stint pace for tomorrow’s race 

LMGTE Pro 
•    No. 92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR–19 of Neel Jani and Kevin Estre at the front in LMGTE Pro as Estre unleashes a 2m11.936s lap best 
•    This effort is a full 0.7s clear of sister car driven by Richard Lietz and Gimmi Bruni 
•    AF Corse Ferrari place third and fourth as No.52 car of Daniel Serra and Miguel Molina edges stablemates James Calado and Alessandro Pierguidi by just 0.123s 
•    No.63 Corvette Racing entry of Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia is fifth as they look to make-up for lost track time this morning 

LMP2 
•    The United Autosports USA squad continues its 100% fastest LMP2 strike-rate record this week as Filipe Albuquerque again proves to be the benchmark 
•    Reigning champions set blistering 2m03.761s lap to head No.25 G-Drive Racing car 
•    Roberto Merhi’s early session time in the Aurus 01-Gibson is eclipsed by 0.170s 
•    The second of the G-Drive Aurus entries of Roman Rusinov, Franco Calopinto and Nyck de Vries place third. The top three in LMP2 are covered by just 0.282s 

LMGTE Am 
•    LMGTE Am class is topped by the No.56 Team Project 1 Porsche entry as Matteo Cairoli manages a 2m13.515s lap 
•    This time beats early session best of 2m13.936s lap by Matt Campbell in No.77 Dempsey Proton Porsche he shares with Christian Ried and Riccardo Pera 
•    Third in class is the No.83 AF Corse Ferrari with Danish ace Nicklas Nielsen at the wheel in car he shares Francois Perrodo and Alessio Rovera 

Qualifying begins at 18h20 CEST with LMGTE Pro and Am sessions, followed by Hypercar and LMP2 qualifying at 18h40 CEST.
