Alpine heads into the forthcoming campaign buoyed by the A424’s finest season to-date at the international pinnacle of the long-distance discipline last year, yielding victory in FIA WEC’s milestone 100th event at Fuji, complemented by further podium places at Imola and Spa-Francorchamps.

The French manufacturer has more silverware in its sights over the coming months, after unveiling its aerodynamically-updated racer tonight during the course of a pre-season presentation in Paris, where the brand is based. Alpine put the car through its paces at Portimão in Portugal a few weeks ago, reporting encouraging results.

For Les Bleus’ third consecutive campaign in the top-tier of the world’s premier endurance racing series, Charles Milesi and Ferdinand Habsburg – who have been with the team since the start of the Hypercar adventure and were instrumental in the A424’s maiden triumph in Japan last September – will be joined in the #35 Hypercar by FIA WEC returnee and former Formula E champion, António Félix da Costa.

In the sister #36 entry, incumbent duo Jules Gounon and Frédéric Makowiecki will form an all-French line-up alongside endurance racing newcomer, Victor Martins.

Following the Qatar 1812km curtain-raising contest on 28 March, the hunt for honours will continue with races at Imola (19 April), Spa-Francorchamps (9 May), Le Mans (13-14 June), Interlagos (12 July), COTA (6 September) and Fuji (27 September), prior to concluding with the traditional eight-hour season finale in Bahrain on 7 November.
