- An IDEC Sport 1-2 in 17-car LMP2 filed as #28 Oreca-Gibson tops the timing screens with Job van Uitert aboard the orange and black liveried car
- Dutch aces lap of 3m38.589s outpaces the #18 sister car driven by Andre Lotterer, as three-time Le Mans overall winner stops the clocks at 3m39.307s in car he will share with Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert
- Third in LMP2 is the pole-sitting TDS Racing entry, as Mathias Beche laps 0.8s off van Uitert’s best. This car is also the fastest Pro-Am entered car in the nine-entry sub-class this year
