Congratulations from all within the FIA WEC to Audi Sport's Leena Gade who has been appointed as a new ambassador of the FIA Commission for Women in Motorsport.
The British race engineer of the No.1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro was an instrumental part of the 24 Hours of Le Mans victories in 2011 and 2012 for Marcel Fässler/André Lotterer/Benoît Tréluyer, as well as their World Endurance Championship title last year.
The 37-year old, who now lives in Germany, accepted her role as ambassador for 2014 last Wednesday when she supervised a workshop in Paris for the commission to promote young, aspiring, female engineers in motorsport.
