15/09/2016

Endurance racing legend Tom Kristensen will wave the green flag to start the 2016 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas this Saturday evening.

The Danish racing icon has happy memories of the Texan venue having won the race along with Audi teammates Allan McNish and Loic Duval at the inaugural WEC event at COTA in 2013.

Kristensen, the most successful ever driver to race at Le Mans with nine victories from 1997-2013, will give the order for the traditional formation of the grid prior to the start of the action at 17.00 local time on Saturday evening.

A full grid of LMP and LM GTE cars are entered for the sixth round of the 2016 WEC this weekend as the title battles in all classes hots up.
