The LMGTE Pro Free Practice 3 times were headed by the #99 Aston Martin throughout the majority of the 90-minute session at Fuji Speedway. Fernando Rees set a quickest lap of 1m40.212s early on before he handed over to team mates Alex MacDowall and Darryl O'Young.
In second place in the LMGTE Pro class was the #91 Porsche Team Manthey 911 RSR, with Joerg Bergmeister having set the time to head the #71 AF Corse in third place. James Calado claimed the best time in the Ferrari 458 Italia.
As in the two previous sessions, the two LMGTE Am entrants mixed it with the Pro class cars. Aston Martin Racing's #98 Vantage was just behind its Pro class stable mates, with Pedro Lamy setting a best of 1m40.235s, just two hundredths of a second behind the #99 Aston Martin.
As ever, the GTE classes were incredibly close with just over a second covering the 13 runners in both classes. It promises to be another intense battle for supremacy at Fuji this weekend.
The teams now will be making final preparations for the all-important qualifying sessions that will take place from 13h20.
