Porsche’s Mark Webber arrives in Austin, Texas tomorrow ready to take the fight for victory to Audi and Toyota in Saturday’s 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas. However, before he gets into his Porsche 919 Hybrid on Thursday afternoon, he will be carrying out an ambassadorial role for the FIA World Endurance Championship in the city of Austin.
The Australian will be interviewed live on several of Austin’s major network TV channels about the coming race and his switch to endurance racing this year, before going on to be interviewed by the Austin American-Statesman.
Together with some other drivers, Mark will also be at Austin City Hall, W2nd Street, at 1pm tomorrow to celebrate an official Proclamation for “Lone Star Le Mans Day”. Officiating will be Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell alongside COTA CEO Jason Dial and COTA Founder and Chairman Bobby Epstein.
