
The thoughts of the drivers, teams and FIA WEC organization have – like the rest of the motorsport world – been with Jules Bianchi and his family following his accident at the Japanese Grand Prix last weekend. This was recognized today in Fuji when all the drivers gathered together behind a message of support for the French driver on the pre-race grid.
The Ferrari Driver Academy graduate, who comes from Nice, has been viewed as one of the rising talents of French motorsport in recent years. The 25-year-old has risen through single-seaters, with a championship victory in Formula Renault and third places in F3 and GP2 before becoming an F1 reserve driver with Sahara Force India in 2012 and a full season driver with Marussia this year.
