Porsche Team re-signs all six drivers for 2015

Porsche Team re-signs all six drivers for 2015
11/11/2014

A return to the top level of international sports car racing after a gap of 16 years was a challenge that few could have met with such style.  The Porsche Team has this season made quite an impact on the FIA WEC both on and off track, and at each round the team has appeared more and more self-assured.

Introducing the most sophisticated Porsche ever built, the 919 Hybrid has been in the capable hands of six top-flight drivers and it is no surprise that Porsche Motorsport has chosen to re-sign all six factory drivers for the 2015 season.

Against the combined experience and knowledge of the Audi and Toyota teams, the No.14 LMP1 Hybrid claimed its first podium of the season in Shanghai and Romain Dumas (FRA), Neel Jani (CHE) and Marc Lieb (DEU) will not only be chasing another  top three finish, but also the team’s first win of 2014.

The trio’s German-Antipodean colleagues in the No.20, Timo Bernhard (DEU), Mark Webber (AUS) and Brendon Hartley (NZL), have stepped onto an FIA WEC podium twice this year and they too are fired up to climb one or two steps higher before the end of the season!
