Super Sebring a hit with teams and drivers
Last weekend’s Super Sebring – an exhilarating WEC and IMSA double-header – proved to be a big hit with drivers, teams, organisers and fans alike.
Below is a selection of some of the tweets which talked about just how special round six of the 2018-2019 WEC Super Season really was.
Fernando Alonso, No. 8 Toyota Gazoo Racing
My adventure in Endurance racing has been wonderful so far. Winning at 3 of the most important circuits on sports cars in the last 9 months. We keep learning, we keep improving. We go for more. #LeMans #Daytona #Sebring
Gérard Neveu, FIA WEC CEO

“Super Sebring was one of the best motor racing weekends I’ve ever experienced. Within 48 hours we won a 1000 miles race and a twelve-hour race. A big thank you to everybody at Weissach, our works teams, customer teams and drivers.”
This #SuperSebring was the largest event in @Michelin_Sport history! Endurance was tested, @IMSA records were broken, and one team emerged on top: Cadillac DPi @WhelenEng @AX_Racing!
Thank you, Sebring! It was a truly SUPER weekend. And we respected the bumps #MISSION8 #BMWM #BMWMMotorsport #IMSA #Sebring12 #SuperSebring
