April showers are staying true to their word in the UK this weekend but the good news for fans is that ‘Sunny Sunday’ is forecast for the opening round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship tomorrow.
Weather wise Saturday is reflecting the rich variety of sportscar racing as sleet and snow has tested the true endurance of even the British fans.

As we all know, both the cars and the fans in the FIA WEC are hardy people and the mixed conditions today will present more challenges for the five categories racing this weekend.
In Free Practice 3 this morning some drivers showed their sense of humour by simulating a new extreme sport of pitlane skiing! But with the conditions set to improve and clear for the first round of the ELMS this afternoon, the prospect of an exciting start to the season is set.
But the fun in the snow is short-lived as the forecast confirms that it will leave as soon as it arrived. Qualifying just before midday and the European Le Mans Series Race this afternoon will enjoy far clearer and better weather. Meanwhile, race day for the WEC will indeed be ‘Sunny Sunday’.
