Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps poster revealed
The start of the WEC Super Season is fast approaching and the official poster for the opening round, the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, has now been revealed.
The roar of the 36 engines will ring out loudly around the iconic 7.004km (4.352 mile) Ardennes track on Saturday 5th May, and the battles will commence for World Championship and WEC titles – to be awarded at the conclusion of the Super Season, the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019.
- A high profile opening round
The first round of the season will also serve as the dress rehearsal for round two, the 24 Hours of Le Mans which takes place on 16-17th June. The Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will offer the teams an important first glimpse at their rivals’ pace and performance, as well as offering drivers new to the WEC the opportunity to work on traffic management and familiarise themselves with multi-class racing at the highest level.
- Stars and Cars
Among the 10 entries in the premier class of LMP1 will be two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso, making his race debut for Toyota Gazoo Racing, alongside numerous other World Champions past and present.
Also on the grid will be stars well-known to local Belgian fans including Andre Lotterer who was raised in Nivelles (Rebellion Racing in LMP1) and Aston Martin Racing newcomer Maxime Martin. The LMGTE Pro category will be boosted by the addition of BMW which will be making its race debut in the FIA WEC, bringing the number of entrants in this most exciting of categories to 10.

With open access to the paddocks, autograph sessions with the drivers and a full range of family entertainment available off track as well as nose-to-tail action, there is no excuse not to buy your ticket now. Tickets for the 3-5 May weekend can be bought until 01 May for the low cost of just €32. Box office ticket price at the gate will be €36 per person. Children under 12 enter free.
