VVIPs on the grid as the 6 Hours of Bahrain gets underway
15/11/2014

The green flag for the 6 Hours of Bahrain has flown and the race to decide several FIA World Endurance Championship titles has begun.  At 21h00 local (19h00) CET, and in the hours of total darkness, we will know if Toyota Racing and AF Corse Ferrari have claimed the titles which are agonisingly within their reach.

The pre-race grid was packed with VIPs from Bahrain and beyond.  As well as double F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso who is here making  private visit to friends up and down the grid, the pole-sitting Porsche Team welcomed the President of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, Matthias Muller, Dr Wolfgang Porsche, the Chairman of the company, and Executive Board Member Wolfgang Hatz.

From the Bahrain International Circuit, the Chairman of the Board Zayed Alzayani, and Chief Executive Shaikh Salman Bin Isa Al Khalifa were keen observers of the fantastic 27 cars due to race into the night.

The action has started, follow it all on the FIA WEC App for TV images, commentary, live timing, onboards and so much more.
