Offering fans a fascinating insight into the stars of the show, WEC Full Access covers everything from team briefings to heated mid-race discussions. It is the ultimate behind-the-scenes series, documenting the most private areas of the FIA WEC paddock.

The TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps had everything – action aplenty, contretemps and controversy, awe-inspiring overtakes, edge-of-the-seat spills and delight and disappointment in equal measure.

Well, everything except rain – which usually puts in an appearance at some stage in the Ardennes – but that only made the experience all-the-more enjoyable for the record-breaking, sun-kissed 98,874-strong crowd in attendance. And what a race they enjoyed!

In an epic six-hour contest that will live long in the memory, there was drama from the outset. Even before race day. Crashes and clashes in free practice set the tone, and once the lights went out to signal the start of the third round of the 2025 FIA WEC campaign, there was barely a moment to catch your breath.

WEC Full Access transports viewers to the very heart of the event, behind closed doors into engineering debriefs, onto the pit wall and onto the grid, as tensions build ahead of the race. It also takes fans on-board – putting them right in the driving seat for a thrilling first-person perspective.

Jump into a Hypercar cockpit for the busy start, as competitors jostle for position at close-quarters through legendary corner Eau Rouge, then feel the differential in speed as lapping begins and the Hypercars thread their way carefully between the duelling LMGT3 cars.

Talking of threading, join Loïc Duval as the Team Peugeot TotalEnergies star boldly dives down the middle to pick off two Hypercar rivals in one fell swoop on the flat-out blast to Les Combes, and countryman Frédéric Makowiecki as he executes similarly spectacular passes on Ferrari drivers Philip Hanson and James Calado to climb to second for Alpine Endurance Team in the opening hour.

Both French manufacturers starred at Spa, but contrasting race day fortunes meant only one went home happy. Along the way, Alpine’s Mick Schumacher engaged in a thrilling three-way tussle with Alessandro Pier Guidi (Ferrari) and BMW’s Robin Frijns, with the latter making it clear that he was in no mood to lie down without a fight in a truly no-holds-barred battle.

In the end, Alpine came up just short in its quest to end Ferrari’s winning run this year, although the result was in doubt right to the chequered flag, as the second-placed #50 found itself needing to economise on energy in order to reach the finish line.

Indeed, notwithstanding the final outcome, the race was not without its complications for Ferrari, who additionally came under scrutiny for a pit-lane swap between its two 499Ps – but ultimately, the Prancing Horse once again proved too strong for its adversaries, this time also in LMGT3.

For last year’s world champions Porsche and Toyota, however, there was only further frustration, as despite a searing charge through the field from 15th up to fourth for the #8 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing entry, both marques remain in search of their first podium finish of the season…

Featuring perceptive observations from 2014 FIA World Endurance Champion-turned-official commentator Anthony Davidson, the third instalment of this season’s WEC Full Access series can be viewed exclusively on the FIA WEC App here.
