The race of the century, the world’s greatest endurance race, the ultimate event...

Superlatives abound when it comes to celebrating one hundred years since the first 24 Hours of Le Mans. The eagerly awaited race, round 4 of the FIA World Endurance Championship, takes place on the weekend of 10-11 June 2023. Ticket sales open at 10:00 CET on Friday 21 October when the race poster will be revealed.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans will celebrate its centenary in 2023. Race organiser the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has devised a range of ticketing options and packages for the event, a highlight of the FIA WEC season that regularly draws crowds of over 250,000.

Round 4 of the FIA WEC, the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans will also be celebrating the return of several major manufacturers in the Hypercar class. Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeot and Glickenhaus will be attempting to knock Toyota off its perch. Who will lift the 2023 trophy specially designed to commemorate the anniversary?

100th anniversary poster

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest’s communication department designed the poster with one question in mind: “Who will prevail in this year of all years?”

The six major manufacturers in the Hypercar class line up for a showdown. Celebration and commemoration are the watchwords in this design, which emphasises a turning point in the race’s history.

The poster incorporates a nod to the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923, when the poster featured an owl perched in a tree, symbolising the all-day, all-night battle.
