Two of the most legendary names in Belgian sporting history will visit Spa on Saturday to take in all the action in the second round of the 2015 World Endurance Championship.
Six times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Jacky Ickx will see mighty Audi, Toyota and Porsche LMP1 cars battle it out on the legendary 7.004kms circuit in the Ardennes. It will be a re-match of the technology driven space-age race cars which astounded the motorsport world at Silverstone three weeks ago with their power and closely matched performance.
Joining Ickx at Spa as guest of honour will be five times winner of the Tour De France and national hero Eddie Merckx. Celebrating his 70th year in 2015, the cycling legend will join Ickx in celebrating the cream of global endurance racing in the final event before the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

Both Ickx and Merckx will greet modern racers such as Patrick Dempsey, Andre Lotterer, Mark Webber, Lucas Di Grassi and reigning World champions Sebastien Buemi and Anthony Davidson, as they prepare for more epic duels on the undulating Spa circuit.
In addition to the incredibly efficient 1000bhp + LMP1 cars, a bumper grid of LMP2 and LMGTE cars will ensure there is action throughout the field throughout the six-hour endurance classic.

Belgian fans will be able to see both Ickx and Merckx at Spa on Saturday where paddock and grandstand access is free and a vast array of off track activities including a DJ set from the WEC’s official WEC Music Ambassador The Avener, an appearance from the incredible Titan the Robot and a full family funfair.
