Colour and noise will be the order of the day at the 6 Hours of Mexico presented by AT&T as the first ever visit to the country by the FIA WEC community sees entertainment on and off the track over the two days of 2/3 September.
The special fan area which will be located on the outside of the track at the back of the giant Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez grandstands will feature a variety of attractions to suit families and all ages of visitor. There will be an additional fan area aswell in the paddock and behind the Foro Del Sol.
Racing simulators, a special Tequila Patron activation with Margaritas bars, and the resident WEC DJ, - JABBERWOCKY will be at the track dictating the beat for the first international endurance event in Mexico for a quarter of a century.
For the sporty ones there will be go-karting and mini-golf available to sample which is especially poignant as the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is on the site of many of the activities that contributed to the successful Olympic Games in 1968.
WEC Fan Area
Distribution of goodies, merchandise and a photo booth to get a great souvenir of you and your friends’ or family’s visit. There’s also a Batak machine to test your reactions against the clock – it’s fun and simple but challenging at the same time.
Racing simulators
Do you think you are the next Luis Diaz or Ricardo Gonzalez? Now you can see how you match up against them on a lap of the Autodromo Rodriguez on a racing simulator. Did you know that racing professionally around the world today are several former gamers who have won national competitions and moved from sofa to cockpit as a result. It could be you!
Tequila Patrón activation
If you are lucky enough not to be driving home, then why not come along and taste some of Tequila Patrón’s amazing products. There’s a lot more than you would imagine, and some amazing cocktails to be tried. The company is based in Mexico and will have lots of different types of the national beverage to sample!
Jabberwocky
Jabberwocky is a young, French electro-pop group who, in 2013, launched the critically acclaimed Photomaton which has since had 15 million views on YouTube! The trio of musicians, producers and showmen are the WEC Music Ambassadors for the 2016 season and they will play a set during the autograph session in Mexico City.
