WEC Full Access from the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain – the eighth and final round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship campaign earlier this month – is now available to watch for subscribers of the FIA WEC App.
Offering fans a fascinating insight into the stars of the show, WEC Full Access covers everything from team briefings to heated mid-race discussions. It is the ultimate behind-the-scenes series, documenting the most private areas of the FIA WEC paddock.
Against a dramatic desert backdrop, titles were decided over the course of eight hours of breathless on-track action in Bahrain, with the post-race celebrations interspersed by fond farewells.
From the crucial pre-event track walk – as competitors establish their bearings and find out what has changed since they were last on-site in Sakhir – to drivers’ race day preparations, WEC Full Access doesn’t leave a single stone unturned in this fascinating flashback to a championship-defining weekend.

Join the protagonists on the starting grid as tensions rise before lights-out, then jump into the cockpit and settle into the driving seat for a fast-and-frantic opening lap, as everybody jostles energetically for position with no quarter asked and absolutely none given – followed by a frenetic three-way fight for honours in the LMGT3 category in the closing stages.
As ever in WEC Full Access, multiple on-board camera angles put fans right at the heart of the exhilarating action, while the spotlight is similarly shone on pit-stops, driver changes and behind-closed-doors debriefs.
Aston Martin was one brand to experience disappointment in Bahrain, walking away with a lingering sense of what might have been. Marco Sørensen’s post-qualifying frustration was palpable, and then in the race, team-mate Alex Riberas unleashed a heroic performance to carve his way from fifth to first – another milestone achievement for the ever-improving Valkyrie Hypercar – only for a drive-through penalty for a Virtual Safety Car transgression to scupper what looked likely to be a breakthrough result.
In his last professional outing prior to hanging up his helmet, former Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button also encountered ill-fortune as he clashed with VISTA AF Corse’s Thomas Flohr – sending the Ferrari 296 LMGT3 spearing spectacularly into the barriers and incurring the #38 Cadillac crew a 30-second stop-and-go penalty.

There were further emotional goodbyes in the Porsche Penske Motorsport pit, while over at Toyota, there was joy and jubilation. Following a fallow season as defending Manufacturers’ champion, the much-decorated Japanese carmaker delivered a knockout one-two finish around a circuit where it has frequently excelled.
If Toyota’s triumph prompted relief – banishing the unpalatable prospect of a first winless campaign in FIA WEC since 2015 – then the scene at Ferrari was one of exultation, as the Prancing Horse clinched its first global endurance racing crown in more than half-a-century.
Characteristic of the manner of the Italian marque’s success was the message sent to Antonio Giovinazzi mid-race that the #51 crew didn’t need to beat the Toyotas to secure the spoils. The Italian’s response – mere moments later – was to attack and pass the #8 GR010 Hybrid for second, as he and driving partners James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi grabbed the bull by the horns to seal the deal with a true champions’ drive.
