The No.65 Corvette C7.R entered in the LMGTE Pro category of the FIA World Endurance Championship next weekend in Austin, Texas, has been seen for the first time in its new livery.
To be driven in the 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas (COTA), 18-20 September, by Jordan and Ricky Taylor and Tommy Milner, the Velocity Yellow entry will be up against AF Corse’s Ferrari 458 Italias, Aston Martin Racing’s Vantage V8s and Porsche Team Manthey’s 911 RSRs.
The three drivers, as well as the Pratt & Miller-run Corvette Racing team will be pulling double-duty between the 6 Hours of COTA – the highlight of the Lone Star Le Mans weekend of racing – and the Tudor United SportsCar Championship event earlier in the day.
Corvette Racing is one of three American teams to have entered the FIA WEC round in Austin, joining Krohn Racing (No.57 Ferrari 458 Italia in LMGTE Am) and Extreme Speed Motorsports (No.30 HPD ARX 03B in LMP2) - the latter also running cars in both races.
