Myriad high-profile marques – from Alpine to Aston Martin and Ferrari to Ford – have won in the series’ various classes, and there will be significant pride at stake in Japan, as brands bid to become the milestone 100th winner in what has been widely described as a golden era for the sport.
With eight different manufacturers represented in the headlining Hypercar category and nine preparing for battle in LMGT3, a captivating contest in the shadow of Mount Fuji seems assured.
