Patrick Dempsey and Porsche factory driver Patrick Long were already confirmed, and now Dempsey-Proton Racing has announced the identify of the third driver who will compete with the American duo in this year's World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Marco Seefried, 39, from Oettingen in Germany, will join Dempsey and Long in the team’s No.77 LMGTE-Am class Porsche 911 RSR. The former Twelve Hours of Sebring class winner will make his team debut at the WEC's official pre-season test, The Prologue, on 28/29th March at Circuit Paul Ricard.
The German squad has also confirmed that Klaus Bachler, Christian Ried and Khaled Al Qubaisi will return to the Abu Dhabi Racing-backed No.88 Porsche 911 RSR.
