As well as plenty of action on track for the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, there is a variety of FREE entertainment off track for all the family.
Among these is a thrilling ride for 24 people at a time called “Sky-watch” which will elevate fans high into the sky, giving them a unique and panoramic view of the paddock, the track and Le Raidillon. The ride lasts for 20 minutes.
For children there are 6 trampolines, all secure and with full supervision, plus a giant ball pool where children are inside a 1.5m ball floating on the water! There’s a bouncy castle with a double slide, and an inflatable climbing tower up to 4.5m in height for young adventurers – both of these are supervised and there are safety harnesses for the climbing tower. There’s also horsepower of a different kind to try, on a traditional merry-go-round.
Think you can do better than the mechanics in the pits during a tyre change? Here is your chance to find out! The ‘Pit Stop Challenge’ allows you to try your hand at changing tyres on a replica GT race car. There are dodgems for those who want to get behind the wheel, and a breath-taking display by VTT trial bike rider Thierry Klinkenberg from Liège.
DJ shows, simulators, plus distribution of goodies at the FIA WEC tower and sale of the official race programmes at a FIA WEC tent are also on offer and finally, underlining the FIA’s Action for Road Safety campaign, there will be a chance for fans to take a ‘spin’ in a police car and learn all about the vital importance of seat belts.
All these plus the pit walk, autograph session and lots of on-track entertainment…something for everyone at the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
