The full entry list has been published for next month’s Lone Star Le Mans – round six of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship campaign – with a thrilling Texan tussle firmly in prospect in both categories.
Austin’s renowned Circuit of The Americas will welcome FIA WEC for the eighth time on 5-7 September, having first featured on the series’ calendar back in 2013. Last year, fans enjoyed a dramatic conclusion to the six-hour contest, as the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P narrowly fended off the hard-charging #7 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GR010 Hybrid by the margin of less than two seconds at the chequered flag.
Twelve months on, the most recent 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning crew has its sights set on a repeat result. Given the fierce nature of the competition in the high-calibre, 18-strong Hypercar field, that achievement would be no mean feat, as Ferrari seeks to head off the growing challenge posed by an in-form Cadillac – who will be aiming to play home advantage – and a resurgent Porsche.
For the German marque, Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell rejoin the fray in the #5 and #6 963 prototypes respectively, while Team Peugeot TotalEnergies will similarly be at full strength with the return of experienced duo Jean-Éric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne.
Interlagos absentees Sébastien Buemi (Toyota) and Robin Frijns (BMW M Team WRT) are also back – the latter taking over from São Paulo stand-in Marco Wittmann.
In LMGT3, Ben Barnicoat will take to the track in Akkodis ASP Team’s #78 Lexus RC F for the first time since the Qatar curtain-raiser back in February, after recovering from the mountain-biking accident that sidelined the Briton for several rounds. Timur Boguslavskiy returns to the cockpit of The Bend Team WRT’s #31 BMW M4, with Derek DeBoer replacing standout São Paulo rookie Anthony McIntosh in Racing Spirit of Léman’s Aston Martin Vantage.
Tickets – all of which include access to seating in a permanent grandstand – can be purchased here, starting from $79 USD. Children aged 12 and under will be admitted free of charge with an accompanying adult.
