Ferrari confirms GTE drivers and it’s Roar before the 24 weekend!

As we reach the end of the week, it’s time for a quick round up of this week’s news from the FIA WEC paddock.

This week saw a number of driver line-ups confirmed in this year’s FIA WEC, most notably from Ferrari who confirmed that French female driver Lilou Wadoux will join the Richard Mille AF Corse squad for Season 11 alongside Luis Perez Companc and Alessio Rovera.

The Italian marque also confirmed its other 488 GTE Evo line-ups with Simon Mann, Ulysse de Pauw and Stefano Constantini driving the No. 21 car.  Meanwhile, in the No. 54 LMGTE am Ferrari will be Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellaci and Davide Rigon.

On the other side of the Atlantic, all eyes will be on the IMSA’s Roar before the 24 – the official test ahead of next weekend’s highly-anticipated Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Of particular interest will be the Iron Lynx Lamborghini entry as the collaboration of the two Italian outfits begins with the new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2.

This season will prove itself as essential preparation ahead of Iron Lynx Lamborghini’s WEC campaign in the Hypercar category next year where the number of manufacturers in the series’ top-tier category is expected to reach double figures.
