A consistent front-runner and title-winner on the international sportscar scene since its foundation ten years ago, Garage 59 is currently preparing to take the next step as it joins the fiercely-contested LMGT3 category at the global pinnacle of the long-distance discipline.

The British outfit has taken over the running of the two 720S LMGT3 Evos from United Autosports, with the latter stepping up to operate McLaren’s forthcoming Hypercar programme, due to swell the ranks in 2027. Garage 59 achieved three victories with the 720S in the GT World Challenge Europe last year.

In the #10 entry, 2024-25 Asian Le Mans Series GT class champion, Antares Au will be partnered by rising star Thomas Fleming – who demonstrated his potential in last season’s FIA WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain – and McLaren factory driver, Marvin Kirchhöfer, a Garage 59 regular.

In the sister #58 car, Swedish veteran Alexander West will race alongside another McLaren factory driver in the shape of Benji Goethe, as well as talented young German, Finn Gehrsitz, who claimed pole position in Belgium and Bahrain plus a podium finish at Imola in 2025 for Akkodis ASP Team.

Following the official postponement of the Qatar 1812km due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the action will now get underway with the 6 Hours of Imola in Italy on 17-19 April.
