High Class Racing reveals new Season 8 livery

WEC newcomer High Class Racing has unveiled its livery for the upcoming FIA WEC season, which kicks off with The Prologue at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next week.

Regular ELMS driver, Anders Fjordbach from Denmark, will drive the No. 33 Oreca 07 Gibson LMP2 car alongside America’s Mark Patterson.  The third driver will be announced by the team later this week.

It was announced this morning that the team’s third driver will be Japan’s Kenta Yamashita, who has been selected by Toyota Gazoo Racing to participate in its WEC Challenge programme.

“I am very excited to be racing in WEC and LMP2 for the first time; thanks to Toyota Gazoo Racing and High Class Racing for this opportunity,” explained Yamashita, who currently leads the highly-competitive Super GT Series in Japan after winning the most recent round.

“There are so many legendary circuits on the WEC calendar and plenty of tough competitors in the LMP2 class so it will be a challenging experience. There is a lot for me to learn and I am sure the team will help me a lot. Now I can’t wait for testing to begin so I can prepare myself for an exciting season.”
