Host of entertainment on offer at WEC season-opener

Next week’s FIA WEC season-opener at Silverstone will feature non-stop entertainment for fans including open autograph sessions, pitlane walks and a variety of free activations in the WEC Fan Zone.

All fans are welcome to attend the driver autograph sessions which will take place at 1220 on Saturday for the ELMS drivers and 0845 on Sunday for the WEC.  With the WEC operating an open paddock system, fans can also mingle with their favourite teams and drivers. There will also be non-ticketed pit walks throughout the weekend allowing fans to see cars and garages first-hand.

There will be an impressive display of cars on show from Porsche Display Club, as well as further displays from Aston Martin, Ginetta and GoodYear in the WEC Fan Zone.  A free shuttle bus will run throughout the weekend to allow fans to move around the circuit more easily.

In the heart of the Fan Zone will be a free big wheel, a giant screen and the WEC Tent which includes a pit-stop challenge in VR, Batak games and simulators.  New for this season will also be a fan commentary booth where fans have the opportunity to become the voice of Le Mans as part of a fun interactive game.  There will also be a selection of food and drink stalls on offer.

For children aged four and above, there will be a fun karting experience to keep them entertained. The battery-powered karts are easy to drive with one pedal operation. There will also be face painting as well as helisa therapies including Indian head massages, seated back massages and reflexology.

Fans can also watch daredevil riders perform the craziest of feats on the world-famous Demon Drome Wall of Death! Demon Riders will take to the wheel of 1920s Indian motorcycles as they cheat gravity, risking life and limb.

And if that’s not enough, of course there is the exhilarating WEC, ELMS and Porsche Carerra Cup GB race action out on the track!

Tickets for the WEC season-opener are still available with prices starting from £10 and best of all, children go free.  Click HERE for full ticketing information.
