LMP1
-    After two hours at COTA, home driver Gustavo Menezes takes over driving duties in the No. 1 Rebellion R13 Gibson car and continues to lead the LMP1 class 
-    Sebastien Buemi hands the No. 8 Toyota TS050 HYBRID over to team-mate Brendon Hartley and holds second, 37 seconds adrift of the race leader
-    No. 7 sister Toyota Gazoo Racing with Mike Conway at the wheel in third position

LMGTE Pro
-    Aston Martin Racing has a firm and untroubled 1-2 lead in GTE Pro with the No.95 Dane Train of Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen having led from its pole-starting place on the grid
-    Sister No.97 of Alex Lynn jumped ahead of No.92 Porsche at the start to take second
-    With only 3 seconds separating the top 5 in class, the No.51 AF Corse Ferrari of James Calado is third, a position he took at the start and still holds after first two hours
-    Porsche GT Team in fourth and fifth, followed by second Ferrari and Corvette Racing’s No.63 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R which has managed a slightly longer stint than competitors

LMP2
-    Early LMP2 race leader Giedo Van Der Garde hands the No. 29 Racing Team Nederland car over to Frits van Eerd for second stint at the wheel
-    Dutch team lose lead to No. 22 United Autosports driven by Phil Hanson who takes over from Paul Di Resta
-    No. 33 High Class Racing ORECA driven by Anders Fjordbach third out of the nine LMP2 entries
-    Signatech Alpine Elf drop to the back of the field after the right-front brake disc failed and forced them back to the pits for repairs

LMGTE Am
-    After a strong opening stint by Egidio Perfetti in the class pole winning No.56 Team Project 1 Porsche, the team still holds position at the head of the 11-strong field
-    The No.83 AF Corse Ferrari of Emmanuel Collard is second, with Aston Martin Racing’s Paul Dalla Lana making it three different manufacturers in the top three places
-    The No.98 Aston Martin Vantage AMR survived contact with the No.90 TF Sport Aston Martin, the incident dropping the latter from second in class to fourth
