Race day at COTA!

It’s race day in Austin as the FIA World Endurance Championship prepares for round 5 of the season at the Circuit of The Americas in Texas.

Yesterday saw a jam-packed schedule with both free practice session plus qualifying take place in the same day.  Today’s race action will commence at 12h00 local time ahead of the official opening ceremony which is open to ticket-holders and includes a fly-over plus the traditional TOTAL drummers.

LMP1 team Rebellion Racing start today’s race from pole position ahead of Toyota Gazoo Racing, while LMGTE Pro points leaders Aston Martin line up on the front row ahead of Porsche.

The field of nine LMP2 crews sees Swiss team Cool Racing start first, while LMGTE Am has Team Project 1 heading the 11-car field.

As always, full coverage on the FIA WEC app will be available worldwide.  Regular commentator Allan McNish will be joined by America’s Jim Roller for this round while Duncan Vincent will support direct from the pitlane.  For more information about the WEC app, click HERE.
