Lone Star Le Mans tickets go on sale today

 

If you are in the USA, are you enjoying the sights and sounds of world-class sportscar action but missing the chance to appreciate the thrilling and incredibly fast 1000+ bhp, hybrid-powered LMP1 prototypes which star in the FIA World Endurance Championship? 

Worry no more!  Tickets go on sale today for the 2017 edition of the Lone Star Le Mans weekend of motorsport entertainment at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas which will take place between 14-16 September.

The LMP1 prototypes are not the only stars of the WEC.  On the start grid are also 10 upgraded, faster, LMP2 prototypes with top-line, diversely international driver line ups, and the very best of world championship GT competition with full factory entries from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche.  It’s not to be missed!

From today fans can purchase via Circuit of The Americaswebsite a two-day multi-turn weekend pass for only $79. Children aged 12 and under enter free with a paid adult.  Grandstands are open to all.

Lone Star Le Mans, COTA’s twist on the world’s greatest endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is a three-day event featuring six hours of racing and entertainment.  It is the circuit’s only night race, finishing under the stars.  Also on the bill will be a field full of up and coming young drivers from the World Series Formula V8 3.5 open wheel championship and the beautiful cars of the Ferrari Challenge North America.  

Round six out of nine for the globally-renowned WEC, Lone Star Le Mans is the championship’s only visit to North America and it features four classes of cars all racing together, including the stunning LMP1s, LMP2, LMGTE Pro, and LMGTE Am, showcasing the most advanced technology in motorsport. The competition is intense and flat out from flag to flag.
