
This week is all about Spa, but after the first round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone there are several milestones to acknowledge.
Here is your quick guide to those who achieved their 'best', or their 'first', a few weeks ago:
· First class win for Filipe Albuquerque (No.43 RGR Sport by Morand)
· First class win for RGR Sport by Morand, and the first class win for any team run by the Morand organisation
· First fastest race lap (in class) for Pipo Derani (No.31 Extreme Speed Motorsports) and Klaus Bachler (No.88 Abu Dhabi Proton Racing)
· First fastest race lap (in class) for Extreme Speed Motorsports
· Porsche’s fastest lap in GTE Am means that its has overtaken Ferrari and Aston Martin for the most fast laps in the class.
· Gianmaria Bruni’s fastest lap in GTE Pro (No.51 AF Corse) means that he has equalled with Stefan Mücke for the most fast laps in the class.
· René Rast (No.26 G-Drive Racing), Davide Rigon (No.71 AF Corse), and Klaus Bachler (No.88 Abu Dhabi Proton Racing) each set the best qualifying laps in their respective classes, the first time that each has done so.
· It was the first appearance for Ford in the FIA WEC and thus their first points
