In-form Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has confirmed the exact composition of its two Hypercar crews for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, as the French marque aims to maintain its stellar recent momentum.
Peugeot was unquestionably one of the standout performers during the latter stages of 2025, with the #94 9X8 taking the chequered flag third at COTA and the sister #93 entry scooping the runner-up spoils three weeks later at Fuji, as the French prototype made good on the potential it had shown all year.
For the forthcoming campaign, Paul Di Resta remains on-board the #93 car, to be joined by Formula E front-runner Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne. The Belgian moves over from the #94 9X8, which will henceforth be piloted by incumbent duo Loïc Duval and Malthe Jakobsen alongside rising star Théo Pourchaire, who made his competitive FIA WEC debut in last November’s season finale in Bahrain.
Both driver trios have been carefully composed by weighing up all key technical and sporting parameters, with the objective of maximising performance across every phase of a race weekend while fostering strong cohesion. Team Peugeot TotalEnergies Technical Director, Olivier Jansonnie believes their mutual experience and energy will reap rich rewards.
“Loïc and Paul are strong pillars of the team and will play a key role in anchoring each crew,” the Frenchman explained. “Both line-ups offer an excellent balance, combining drivers who are particularly strong at race starts with others who excel in qualifying.
“This structure has been designed with a long-term perspective in mind, while providing the adaptability required to perform across all race conditions, which is essential given the level of competition in FIA WEC.”

Jansonnie is set to take up a new position as Head of Stellantis Motorsport in February following the retirement of Jean-Marc Finot, with Peugeot announcing Emmanuel Esnault last month as Team Principal for its Hypercar programme.
Boasting a strong background across multiple motorsport disciplines over the past three decades, Esnault brings with him significant technical and managerial expertise within top-tier organisations, including McLaren in Formula 1 and Iron Lynx in endurance racing.
“This is a major and highly motivating project, with a manufacturer that is fully committed at the highest international level,” commented the Frenchman, whose remit will be to oversee all of the squad’s operational activities.
“I am fully aware of the great responsibility of this role, as well as the rich heritage Peugeot carries in endurance racing, and it is up to us to be worthy of that and meet the brand’s objectives. There is tremendous potential in this project, and I am convinced we have everything we need to do things right and progress together.”
“Emmanuel’s experience will be essential in shaping and implementing our strategic approach, as he takes on the challenge of pursuing the ambitious goals set by the Peugeot brand,” added outgoing Stellantis Motorsport Director, Finot. “In a championship where manufacturer competition is incredibly intense and the grid is more competitive than ever, we have full confidence in his ability to lead the team forward and support our continued progression.”
