With the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas just a few hours away here is a quick fact check on how much seat time is available throughout the classes for each categorised driver during the six hours:
· LMP1 and GTE Pro driver has to drive between 45mins (minimum) and 4hr 30mins (maximum).
· LMP2 drivers have to drive between 1hr15mins and 3h30mins.
· GTE AM drivers must complete 1hr45mins as a minimum and 3hrs 30mins maximum
Driver line-up clarification
In LMP1 only Platinum, Gold or Silver drivers are allowed. All drivers entered in LMP1-H are platinum graded. In LMP1-L, Dominik Kraihamer (#13 Rebellion) and Lucas Auer (#9 Lotus) are Gold graded while all other drivers are Platinum.
In LMP2, a crew has to be composed with a minimum of one Silver or Bronze driver. In GTE PRO the make-up of the teams is completely free. In GTE AM a crew has to be made up of one Gold or Platinum driver, or at least one Bronze plus another Bronze or Silver driver.
