Toyota and G-Drive Racing are the Teams to Beat in China

At the half way point of the 6 Hours of Shanghai it is a Toyota 1-2 at the head of the field with the no8 Toyota TS040 hybrid of Anthony Davidson holding a comfortable 41.5 second lead over the no7 Toyota of Stephane Sarrazin.  Marc Lieb is currently holding the final podium place in the no14 Porsche 919 with the two Audis in 4th and 5th places.

The nr12 Rebellion R-One of Nick Heidfeld finished the first half of the race in the lead of the LMP1-L field holding a 43s lead over the no13 Rebellion Racing R-One of Dominik Kraihamer.  The no9 Lotus CLM-AER of Pierre Kaffer was 15th overall and five laps adrift of the two Rebellions.

The no26 G-Drive Racing Ligier-Nissan of Julien Canal was in the same position at the end of 180 minutes as it had been since the start of the race – at the head of the LMP2 field.  Canal was 41.5 seconds ahead of Maurizio Mediani in the nr27 SMP Racing Oreca after the Italian had passed Ricardo Gonzalez in the no30 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD-Honda.
