The list of drivers present this year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed - which takes place this weekend (June 23-26) - reads like a who's-who of endurance racing.
Yannick Dalmas, who impressed everyone in the rain at the wheel of a safety car at Le Mans last week, is due to drive the BMW V12 with which he claimed his fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans victory back in 1999. The German brand is the featured marque at Goodwood this year.
Audi’s André Lotterer and Oliver Jarvis plus Marc Lieb and Brendon Hartley (Porsche Team) will also take part, and Alexander Wurz, Grand Marshal at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, will represent two-time winners of the race. He will participate in the Festival of Speed in the Lancia with which his father Franz Wurz, also in attendance, became the European World Rallycross Champion. Wurz (Jr) will also meet up with his co-winners from 2009, David Brabham and Marc Gené.
Also from the WEC will be Patrick Dempsey (owner, Dempsey Proton Racing and class winner at the 2015 6 Hours of Fuji), Oliver Webb (ByKolles Racing Team), Mike Conway (Toyota Gazoo Racing), Andy Priaulx and Marino Franchitti (Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK), Darren Turner (Aston Martin Racing).
