Kazuki Nakajima – Toyota Racing
“Silverstone is clearly not the track that suits us most. We knew this from the last few years anyway. I think we are somewhere between Audi and Porsche on race pace here but I am still hoping we can challenge.
Andre Lotterer – Audi Sport Team Joest
“The team have done a great job on the improvements for the 2015 car. The gearbox and the monocoque are the only the same as last year. The big steps are aero, suspension, the upgrade to the 4MJ class and a little on the engine. It has all come together so far to reduce the gap to our competitors so we are currently quite happy but there is so much more racing to do, we have only just started.”
Julien Canal – G-Drive Racing
“It was difficult for us in qualifying but at the end we are happy with P2 considering that I spun. I found the car had changed a lot between yesterday and today. The mistake was at turn four and then the tyres were not so good after that. But we look forward to the race and for sure it was a strong result for the team as a whole.”
David Heinemeier Hansson – Tequila Patron ESM
“I am loving being back in an LMP2. It is like slipping back in to an old shoe. I love the downforce levels again especially here at Silverstone where you feel every ounce. Last year was a dream season obviously but in terms of driving pleasure LMP2 with the Tequila Patron ESM team is definitely where it is at for me.”
Marco Sorensen – Aston Martin Racing
“I am pleased obviously that we start from pole position in LMGTE Pro. However, my lap was fantastic at all as there were a small moments. I am not sure what it was but it wasn’t that comfortable for me. But at the end of it all we have the top position and it is a good platform for our ‘Dane train’ to perform well again tomorrow in the race.”
Paul Dalla Lana – Aston Martin Racing
“It was a great job by Pedro (Lamy) again as usual. My lap was ok but could have been better but we had enough to get the pole in class and the point so we are off the mark on the points table. The race will be very interesting but today was a success and we will take all of the positive energy in to the race.”
